- This war is unjust and criminal from both sides. It’s combat between two anti-people regimes.
- As expressed by the Russian Federation, the goal of the war is a hypocritical lie. For a couple of years, Russia’s government indifferently observed the everyday deaths of people in Donbass.
- Moreover, the Minsk agreements imposed by Moscow did nothing but bind Donbass hands and feet. In principle, the Minsk agreements couldn’t solve this problem.
- Donbass citizens had remained through all these years a bargaining chip in the hands of Russian and Ukrainian capitals.
The events unwrapping now will not solve the problem. Whatever the outcome of this war, blood will keep on flowing. Even if the Russian Federation “wins,” it will get a permanently dangerous territory with the threat of a much larger war with the West.
- The problem with Donbass can not be solved at all under capitalism. We want to remind you that Donbass, Nagorny Karabakh, Transnistria, Chechnya, and many other military conflicts result from the dismantling of socialism. As long as capital rules, the appetite for preserving and increasing profits will always keep pushing for more war.
- All hardships of the war are being piled upon the working people. In Russian Federation, it’s most apparent in the spasmodic devaluation of the rouble.
- Russian Federation is betting on a blitzkrieg because Russian economics will not support a prolonged war. Economic and social chaos is unavoidable if the fight lasts for too long.
- The Russian Army is not prepared for a lasting war. The training of pilots, tank operators, and other military specialists is in a sorry state. Decay and rot are omnipresent in the whole government apparatus and the Army.
- The Russian government plans to address growing social issues by strengthening the repressions. Previously, the pandemic was the main vessel of crackdowns; now, war will become one, as well. Kremlin propagandists are already squealing about the need to “straighten out all the bastards at home.” Capital will open up an inner front of the war.
- One of its aspects will be the worsening of online surveillance and a complete ban on public events.
- The goal of the communists is to use their platform to explain the essence of this war to those around them.
- That said, we must understand that while the front brings beneficial news for Russia, we will not be heard. We’ll be met with misunderstanding and resentment. This must not stop us. We’re working towards the future.
- By taking an anti-war stand and perceiving the events as a crime against humanity, we are not calling for desertion. A communist serving in the current Army must carry out propaganda amidst his comrades-in-arms.
- We must also prepare for repression. Above all, we must concern ourselves with informational security. Many leftists will have to pay for their flippant attitude towards this issue.
We must not falter on our chosen path. The truth is ours.
