Europe Solidaire Sans Frontières
During the 1980s, the CPP was shaken by a series of paranoid purges. The number of victimes, then tortured and killed, is very high. It is the drakest side of a fight otherwise often heroical. An association of survivers and victimes’ relatives, Path, aims at getting the whole truth on this question. It receives today a support form most of the Philippine Left; but it also faces very violent attacks from the present leadership of the CPP.
The truth on the purges has to be known. In memory of the victims, but also to allow an in depth reflection on how such a disaster became possible. We hope to contribute to it by presenting here this dossier.
