This is to inform you that LPP cfhairperson, Nisar Shah, is arrested this afternoon in
Islamanad while leading a demonstration of advocates. His pictures made head
lines in Pakistan while he was wearing a cap in yesterday demonstration in
Islamabd saying NO to emergency.

LPP national Executive Committee is in consultation to organise a day of
action accross Pakistan against the arrests of advocates and political
activists.

LPP generla secretary Farooq Tariq has issued a press released today
condemning the new wave of arrests and warning the government that LPP will
not be discouraged by these arrests. " we will go shoulder to shoulder with
the advocates movement despite all the arrests and raids. Our struggle to
continue till the end of Musharaf dictatorship" he said.
