The meeting strongly condemned the government’s policies affecting small farmers, peasants, and agriculture workers nationwide. A unanimous resolution demanded an end to corporate farming and called for comprehensive & popular agrarian reforms, including the distribution of large public and private estates among peasants and small farmers.
The meeting resolved to participate in the PKRC Kissan Conference on October 6 in Jhang and the November 17 rally in Karachi, that will be organized by Sindhiyani Tahreek.
Furthermore, decision to organize a mass Peasants Conference in Hyderabad on February 16 next year, that will mobilize thousands of farmers from Sindh and across the country.
A 10 member coordination committee was elected to ensure the implementation of the decisions made during the meeting.
