In this long interview for a popular and usually satirical Berlin podcast Corner Späti, Volodymyr Ishchenko talks not about the current events but about the Gramscian analysis of the post-Soviet period with Oleg Zhuravlev: the Soviet crisis of hegemony, deficient conservative (Putinism) and revolutionary (Maidan) solutions. How to understand these broader phenomenon of recurring revolutionary moments which seem to change nothing, or just lead to increased nationalism or war. Why are contemporary revolutions in the post-Soviet space not bringing revolutionary transformations but rather nationalist radicalization. Ishchenko also discusses the ways in which this war may be the beginning of the end of the crisis.
