We, the youth leaders coming from the Tri-People (Indigenous Peoples/Lumad, Bangsamoro and Migrant Settlers Descendants) communities of Mindanao, working inside the cluster, gender-based, and peoples formation of the Alyansa ng Kabataang Mindanao para sa Kapayapaan, declare that the Mindanao young peoples:
Are affected by the social, political and economic problems;
Embrace the challenge and responsibility to reduce and end the exploitation, conflict, hunger, discrimination, and marginalization of the powerless communities;
Believe in our capacity and vital role in shaping a peaceful, healthy, and just society;
Recognize the contributions of our predecessors in advancing a free, just, sustainable and meaningful society;
Stand for and continue the struggle for human rights, ecology, ancestral domain, social services, dignity, and equal society that our predecessors had long fought for;
Advance the ecological, human rights, and people-centered politics, development and peace process;
Are united to further empower the youth movement in Mindanao and link with other movements in the country and around the world despite the differences in our culture, identity and context;
We call,
To place ecology, human rights and welfare of the majority of the people at the center of any political, developmental and peace programs and projects of the government and private sectors;
That all the government institutions and the society should recognize and listen to the demand and agenda of the youth;
To end discrimination on the basis of gender, identity, social status, class, and religion;
That the war against drugs, corruption, gambling and other anti-social activities should be fought without sacrificing human rights;
To implement developmental programs and policies in the countryside anchored on the needs of the communities and not on the interest of business corporations;
