There will be a Women’s march in Tokyo on 7^th March, tomorrow.
According to the weather forecast, it will snow here.

This march will be the first one organized by independent and different
women groups & intentionally and consciously associated with WMW. Key
persons of organizers are feminists who has been concerned with WSF
Tokyo. I personally have thought for long that we should need a march
like WMW in Japan, however, unfortunately, previous ’march’ associated
with WMW was done by a small portion of women’s groups. Therefore,
attention to idea on WMW’march or WMW itself was quite low. Independent
women had difficulty to join it.

But, tomorrow, different women concerned with different issues will get
together for march, celebrating the International Women Day. We call our
march “Mimosa Parade”, so as to avoid an unnecessary competition or
conflict with march organized by veteran activists. However, we will still march
with a banner or placard showing a logo of WMW.
