Bangladesh Socialist Front burns Hindu fundamentalist Norendra Modi effigy
Yesterday on 13 March 2018 Bangladesh Socialist Front organized a human chain in front of National Press Club protesting the uprooting, flattening, and bringing down the sculpture of Lenin in Tripura, India by Hindu fundamentalist groups after the victory of BJP in provincial election. The participants of the human chain burned Hindu fundamentalist Norendra Modi in effigy expressing their hatred for his heinous provocative activities.
Presided over by comrade Hamidul Hoque the human chain was addressed by comrade Abdul Gafur Miah, comrade Shamsuzzaman Milon, Comrade Abdul Ali, comrade AMM Fayez Hossain, Rubel Sikder, Doctor Shamsul Alam, Ambia Khaton Shila.
Expressing solidarity and oneness with the action program the human chain was also addressed by CPBML General Secretary comrade Badrul Alam, comrade Zayed Iqbal Khan, Advocate Mahbub Islam, Mohammad Ali Hossain, among others. Student Unity Forum central leader Arnika Tasmin Mitu was present there during the burning of effigy.

Get together of former and present leadership of SUF
On 9 March 2018 at 3:30 pm Student Unity Forum (SUF) organized a get-together with former and present student leaders of SUF in DUCSU (Dhaka University Central Student Union) in Dhaka University.
The former leaders recalled many past memories and important engagements with SUF in various ways. They pointed out the important role they played against the then Ershad autocratic regime.
The new and present leadership of SUF stressed on the fact that the former leadership should join forces in order to show proper directions to the nation when the nation has gone through a critical time.
Former leaders expressed their concern about the present political situation. They also stressed on the question of single party that belongs to former leaders. They proposed for a dialogue in this regard.
Former SUF leader and Communist Party of Bangladesh-ML General Secretary Comrade Badrul Alam put forward the question of permanent revolution as well as world revolution mentioning that the socialism is not possible in a single country in the era of capitalist globalization. He also underscored on working class-peasant-toiling masses hegemony in society, politics, economy, culture and psychology as opposed to bourgeoisie hegemony.
