Observe 14 May a national day of mourning in solidarity with Karachi Ismaili community martyrs: AWP
Awami Workers Party president Abid Hasan Minto and general secretary Farooq Tariq have appealed to people of Pakistan to observe 14 May as a day of mourning in solidarity with Karachi Ismaili community martyrs. “Today was one of the saddest day in history of Pakistan, the terrorists have attacked the most peaceful religious community of Pakistan” the AWP leaders said in a joint press statement. They condemned the cowardly terrorist attack in strongest words and said that the terrorists must be brought to justice as soon as possible.
Abid Minto said that Awami Workers party support the strike call by the Pakistan Bar Council and demanded from the government that the incident must be declared as a national tragedy.
They appealed to people of Pakistan to observe the day as “Youm-i-Soogh” and all routine activities across Pakistan must come to a halt to deliver a strong message to those religious terrorists who believe in sectarian killings with most brutal manners.
Abid Minto said that the attack is a replica of DAASH act of terrorism like burning alive and killing by firing on the opponents forced to stand in a line. We condemn these sectarian killings and demand the government to provide the best possible security to the Ismaili community.
