To all international community’s : Call for international protest actions call for release of Somyot, all political prisoners in Thailand We oppose political punishment and sentence!

We call upon international communities to organise a protest and submit our protest letter to Thai embassy in the coming weeks.

There was a protest organised by the Korean groups supported by 18 organisations on 25 jan 2013.

The USA Red shirts will organise a protest tomorrow.

Inside Thailand, series of protest happened soon after the verdict announcement of Somyot and also last 2 days as well organized by the students and friends of political prisoners.

Another protest will be happened again on the 29 Jan call for release of Somyot and all political prisoners.

We call upon your international solidarity actions to increase the pressure to Thai authorities .

We BELIEVE that Continuous imprisonment of the political prisoners is the act of STATE CRIME and POLITICAL PUNISHMENT and WAR WAGE AGAINST DEMOCRACY and JUSTICE IN THAILAND

The most important that we must call now:

1. Free Somyot

2. Free all political prisoners

3. Abolish lese majeste law

In the last 2 months, many were convicted by Lese Majeste Law.
Somyot is the harshest sentence.

This sentence is represented the verdict for destroy democracy and justice in Thailand. By sentence Somyot is to show to the pro democracy movement and masses that they cannot express their revolt and discontent.

Somyot and the other pro democracy progressive group’s work on the issue of abolish lese majeste law before he was arrested. We believe that this is the real reason that he is being punished now.

This is the political punishment and sentence to democracy and justice in Thailand.
